This month saw our first Togo wide Youth Conference led by our national pastor/missionary Pastor Joseph Akapko.  He did an excellent job organizing and taking care of everything needed for a 3 1/2 day conference.  There were about 1,000 youth signed up, so they planned on 1,200.  1,700 youth ended up showing up though.  Everybody was accommodated and seem to have been blessed by their time together.  There were many decisions for Christ and recommitments.  Pray that this conference will have a lasting impact on the young people (and adults) here.

The hospital and clinic continues to be busy.  We've had some very sad cases again this month.  There was a 3 year old who got his hand caught in a grinder and lost his hand.  There was a 15 year old diagnosed with agressive cancer of the leg who needed an amputation.  A little boy fell into a fire and got burned.  All of these children were helped though at the hospital and are healing as well as can be expected.  Our little premature infant "Peanut" was able to go home and is doing well at home.  Her mother has to bring her back to the hospital for a "check up" every week, and so far so good.

Dr. Ebersole has not received medical clearance yet to return to the field.  He is now having some eye problems.  Please pray that he can get healing and return to the field soon.

We are getting ready to leave on Sept 8th for a 4 month mini-furlough.  Since we'll only be home for 4 months, it is impossible to visit all of our supporters.  We are trying to visit as many places as possible each time that we're home.  If you'd like see us, and we haven't contacted you, then look at our calendar and try to come to someplace close to you.  We'd love to see you.

We've been very busy trying to get everything done and organized before we leave.  Without Dr. Ebersole here, that will leave Dr. Kelly Faber and Todd DeKryger our surgical/medical P.A. here to carry the main load.  We are blessed to have so many short-termers to come out and fill in the gap.  Pray for perserverance, strength, and wisdom for them as we leave.

Again, thank-you for your prayers and support for His Team for Togo!

For Him,
